Charlie Big Time: Sale Or Return EP CDEP (Jigsaw Records)

Bio: Charlie Big Time released their first EP “A Bit Of Charlie” on Cloudberry Records in May 2007. With its lo-fi charm, the EP was well received with all copies selling out.
The band had several songs released on indie compilations in 2008. A hastily recorded, demo standard, 11 song album was released on Series Two Records at the end of 2008. The next 4 years saw the band do very little music-wise. Songs were written, then scrapped. Although writing did continue, the band opted to concentrate more on the recording and production side of things, making the leap from tape recorders to 16 track studios in a short space of time. This modern way of working proved a headache at the time but the investment would pay off in the long run…
In 2012, former Trembling Blue Stars and Aberdeen singer Beth Arzy joined the band to add some vocal beauty. The results were the 4 track EP “Dishevelled Revellers”, which was proudly released on Matinée Recordings in June 2012. The EP was well received and gained lots of radio play in the USA and Europe, even gracing the airways on BB6 music.
Soon after, the band began writing and in summer 2013 they recorded their 3rd EP “Sale Or Return”. The 4 track EP will be released on Jigsaw Records on the 29th October 2013. A brand new song, “One Step Closer To Enemies”, will be included on Matinée’s 15th anniversary album, due for release later this year.
With a backlog of songs nearly finished, more music hopefully will be released early 2014.
