Witching Waves at Stereogum

Witching Waves hail from London and make ruminating post-punk with subtle pop sensibilities. The band’s sophomore album, Crystal Cafe, is due out this month and follows last year’s Fear Of Falling Down. “Flowers” initiates with the slow pitter-patter of a bassline and evolves into a proclamation of half-assed yearning. “I don’t miss it/ I don’t miss it that much.” It’s a telling closing track.
