Cheekily named Welsh indie-pop band Joanna Gruesome’s first original release since last year’s debut album Weird Sister — that is, not counting their great Galaxie 500 cover — will be a split 12-inch with Bristol rockers Trust Fund featuring three songs by each band. One of J. Gruesome’s contributions to the disc is “Jerome (Liar),” a playful ditty that maintains the group’s standard of masterfully fuzzed-out twee.

The Trust Fund/Joanna Gruesome split is out 9/21 in the UK via Joanna Gruesome’s own Reeks Of Effort and 9/22 in the US via HHBTM. Joanna Gruesome also has a slew of UK and US tour dates coming up, many of them with Perfect Pussy:
